Product Content Strategy & UX Writing

Hi, I’m Dan. I do UX, Content Strategy, Information Design and Architecture, and communications in Atlanta and worldwide. I have experience in technical communication, sales and marketing, intranets and corporate portals, and collaborative tools.

I love to organize digital content so it is findable, usable, and useful—and I advocate on behalf of content creators and consumers. I enjoy solving problems and creating delightful experiences for users. I’ve worked individually and with some excellent teams to solve sticky communication design problems.

My Process

While I take a user-centered approach to every project, process always varies based on type, business or technical constraints, objectives, budget, and timeline. In Enterprise UX assignments especially, I often work with project managers or leadership to fold as many Discover-Define-Develop-Deliver iterations as possible into any larger methodology at play.

I try to adhere to the Double Diamond UX model whenever possible and map appropriate phased deliverables to it. Often, however, I’m working with distributed cross-functional teams in a corporate environment at varying levels of UX maturity and so must adhere to the model I’m presented with.
